Established in 1993, The Professional Bar and Restaurant School is highly regarded for its excellence in Hospitality Management Training and Education, and has become recognized as New Zealand's premier Professional Hospitality Management School. The Professional Bar and Restaurant School has purpose built educational facilities with fully functional bars and cafes that allow students to maximise their potential and develop their skills in a real hospitality management environment.� All the equipment used is of a commercial grade and standard- from the coffee machines all the way through to the cocktail shakers.�

All of our tutors come from an exceptionally strong background in hospitality and are internationally recognized leaders in their field.� Many of our tutors own and run their own�hospitality�businesses -�valuable experience that cannot be learnt or taught from textbooks. The Professional Bar and Restaurant School's Head�Bartending Tutor, Lisandro Walfisch, is The Professional Bartender's Guild 2008 New Zealand Bartender of the Year, and is ranked 8th in the world.�

We appreciate the importance of not only having practical experience on site, but also the necessity of industry experience.� We have a dedicated staff member who works with our students from the first week of the course to ensure you are placed in fully paid work experience to gain practical New Zealand experience.
