Te Puke High School
Te Puke High School is a friendly future-focused school with approximately 1000 students from 13 to 18 years of age. We aim to provide quality learning experiences for each and every student. Te Puke High School places great importance on academic achievement. International students can choose their course of study from a wide range of curriculum subjects.

Bay of Plenty
The Bay of Plenty has beautiful beaches and is a major fruit growing region.
Location: Te Puke is an ideal location for international students to have a wonderful New Zealand experience being semi-rural and near the beautiful coastline. It is part of the wonderful Western Bay of Plenty region and close by are the other main centres of Tauranga, Mount Maunganui, Rotorua and Whakatane which offer a lot for students to see and do.
Academic Programme:Te Puke High School operates according to the standard New Zealand school year. Students in Years 11, 12 and 13 finish when their national external exams (NCEA levels 1, 2 and 3) are completed, which is usually at the end of November or very early in December. Years 9 and 10 students are required to stay until the end of their school year. International students are welcome at any stage; however, starting at the beginning of a term makes it easier to settle into an academic programme.
Accommodation:International students at Te Puke High School must live with either: Parents or Legal Guardian, Designated Caregiver (nominated by the parents) or Homestay Family arranged by Te Puke High School. All our homestays are visited and selected by our Director of International Students once New Zealand police checks have been obtained. We aim to provide our international students with the best New Zealand family experience during their stay and ensure that our families are friendly, active, and provide a warm and caring environment. Every attempt is made to match the student with a family who will best meet their needs.
English Support:English support (ESOL) is offered to all international students with English as their second language. Small ESOL classes of approximately 10 students will help learners develop their social, educational and academic communication skills. Support for the IELTs examination can be provided if required.
