Taita College
Taita College is a co-educational state secondary school nestled in the heart of Lower Hutt serving the community for 52 years. Taita College is committed to developing individual academic, personal and leadership opportunities for each student so they have the knowledge, skills and attitude to succeed in their future. Academic Programme
The college offers the New Zealand curriculum at all levels. Year 12 and 13 programmes offer a wide range of academic subjects preparing students for University and Polytechic studies.
Extra-curricular Programme
The college offers a wide range of cultural activities including music, drama, dance and debating. Students can also take part in sporting activities such as rugby, soccer, badminton, basketball, volleyball, tennis, squash, hockey, dragonboating and etc.
English Language Support for International Students
All international students are offered ESOL classes to support their English and studies in other curriculum areas. Students can have the opportunity to sit IELTS and TOEFL examinations as part of their ESOL programme. We have staff who can speak Asian language to provide guidance, counselling and support for student welfare and needs. Homestays are arranged with New Zealand families. This is an advantage of improving students’ English more rapidly.

Tuition fee: NZ$11,000
Registration fee ( non refundable): NZ$500
Uniform fee: NZ$500 approximately
Travel and Medical Insurance for 1 year: NZ$450
Homestay cost: NZ$200/week
All other school activities and outings are not included in the fees.
