We are a co educational school of just over 1300 students from years 9 to 13 and can provide you with a culturally rich and truly authentic New Zealand educational experience.

Innovative AcademicProgramme - At
Cultural and Sporting Opportunities- Cultural groups take part in Polyfest every year, a massive celebration of the Maori, Pacific and international communities that make up Auckland. Competition is tough and it is an amazing few days. Sport is a central part of school and whanau (house) life. We offer a wide range of sports,both male and female, fromVolleyball and Hockey to Football and raquet sports.There are extra-curriucular clubs in Dance, Drama, Art, Music and many more area for you to enjoy.
Facilities - As a new school, we have excellent facilities. Beach volleyball courts, a dance studio, a cafe and adjustable learning spaces (we can move walls to malke classrooms bigger or smaller!) are just some of the great design features. All classes have access to computers and the library is spacious and well equipped. For our senior students, the Independent Learning Centre offers a space to study outside of lesson times. All the whanau blocks have sinks and microwaves for students to use with spaces to sit, chat and make friends at break times.
Whanau - Whanau is a Maori word, it means family and it is what we call our houses at Alfriston. All students, including international students, belong to a house (whanau) Positive relationshipsareat the heart of our community at Alfriston College. Your whanau will become like a family at school, a place to make friends, represent your whanau in sport and get involved in community tasks.
Accommodation - We run our own comprehensive homestay service at AlfristonCollege. The majority of our Homestay families live in The Gardens, just a short walk to the College and a ‘stones throw’ from the beautify Botanical Gardens. With our Homestay co-ordinator available 24 hours a day and by carefully selecting families for you to stay with, we are sure your stay will be happy and comfortable. Living with a kiwi family means that you will get to really know New Zealand and also means you practise your English!
