Yang Yu

Yang Yu - also known as Eddie - first arrived in New Zealand late 2000. The first portion of his New Zealand education involved completion of Year 13 (secondary school) at Middleton Grange School , for which he undertook a demanding academic and sporting programme.

Described by his teachers as a popular, charismatic student, Eddie achieved an excellent academic record at Middleton Grange. In addition, he was a finalist in the New Zealand National Eton Press Senior Maths Comptiton and in the first month took part in the New Zealand Stock Exchange Challenge.

Seen by his teachers and classmates as an outstanding ambassador for both his country and school, Eddie has continued his New Zealand education at tertiary level. He is now working towards a double major degree in Economics and Commerce at Auckland University. His longer term goal is to do postgraduate studies at either Oxford University or the London School of Economics.
