Jelka

Jelka (18 years old) spent 9 months at Springbank. Jelka comes from Germany. She says:

My first day at Springbank School was very exciting, a new school, new people and a different language. All of this didn’t matter though, everyone was very welcoming and helpful. I got to know my class mates very quickly. Besides that, Springbank has very small classes which allows you to ask questions which you couldn’t ask at a big school.
It is great that teachers and pupils organise lunch-time and after-school activities like belly dancing, hockey, athletics and multisport. I have participated in after school athletics and multisport. For multisport, Springbank families get together every Wednesday and Saturday to go running or walking. It is a great opportunity to get to know more people and discover new sports you really enjoy.

I also got to got to my first ball, it was an awesome experience I will never forget! While I have been here I went to OPC (Outdoor Pursuit Centre) which helped me to set goals and achieve them. For the year 12&13 school camp, we went to the west coast and had a great time on water and land. I felt that togetherness is very important at Springbank School.
