The Master of Education (MEd) provides academic and professional development in education. A wide range of options are available and it is possible to plan a programme that is tailored to individual intellectual interests and professional needs.
The MEd is for education graduates interested in completing a research-based qualification in Education. Education includes; teacher education, educational leadership, education policy, special education, language and literacy education, Māori education, mathematics education, music education, restorative practices in education and science and technology education.
To be admitted to the MEd, you must have completed a Bachelor of Teaching with Honours or a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (or the equivalent) and must have achieved a satisfactory grade average - normally a B+ average or better. You also need to have appropriate supervision arranged.
