The starting point of Labour Studies is the world of work and employment, and the social environment in which they take place. Labour Studies draws on a number of academic disciplines such as sociology, economics, industrial relations, history and political science. Students find our papers both informative and challenging. Our objective is to help students become skilled at analysing ideas and arguments, and to gain the confidence and ability to put forward their own views on contemporary issues relating to the workplace, employment and the lives of working people.
