Do you want to take your communication career to the next level? Combining a high level of theoretical analysis with real world applications, the Master of International Communication helps you further your knowledge of intercultural, organisational and technological aspects of international communication.
Deepen your insight into communication within a globalised world and develop your ability to think critically and solve communication and information problems. Improve your ability to interact within diverse and multicultural groups, and effectively write for specific audiences.
Further your knowledge of a variety of advanced communication issues within corporate communication, global communication, strategic communication, digital communication and political communication.
You can either follow the business pathway - learning about communication practices when managing information flows and human interaction - or the research pathway. Choose between a smaller dissertation or a thesis of 90 or 120 credits, giving you a chance to conduct original research in the field of communication and to advance your understanding of how to find and utilise information from a range of sources.
We are proud of our close links with professional communication organisations like the Public Relations Institute of New Zealand or the Technical Communicators Association of New Zealand, ensuring that all course content is up-to-date and relevant for your career.
Small class sizes and highly qualified staff provide an excellent learning environment. And to help you fit study around your other commitments, you can also study on a part-time basis and some courses are offered in the evenings.
