Do you want to advance your medical imaging and radiation therapy skills? The Master of Health Science (Medical Radiation Technology) offers advanced education for medical imaging and radiation therapy professionals. Soundly based on clinical practice, it enhances the academic, clinical and research skills of MRTs who want to take their career to the next level.
The Master of Health Science (Medical Radiation Technology) is endorsed by the New Zealand Institute of Medical Radiation Technology, and currently is the only postgraduate medical imaging and radiation therapy programme in New Zealand.
Further your conceptual and critical understanding of clinical issues, as well as your ability to accept professional responsibility. Learn to integrate theory, experience and research into your professional practice, and to adapt to advancing technologies.
Gain advanced knowledge of specialist areas within medical imaging or radiation therapy, such as computed tomography, ultrasound and MRI. Explore innovative approaches to problems within professional practice and leadership. You will also improve your decision-making skills and ability to work independently.
Further your research skills as you undertake a research project that reflects the specialty area in which you are working.
You'll be taught by industry experts, and classes are a mixture of online and on-campus block courses to cater for students from out of Auckland.
English Language: Have an overall IELTS band score (Academic) of no less than 6.5 (with no band score lower than 6.0), or a TOEFL score of no less than 575, or equivalent.
