The Master of Business is a masters degree for the new economy, providing you with a broad range of skills to help you further your business career. It gives you a critical understanding of the nature of the new business environment in which you will be working.
The programme approaches the business world from a multi-disciplinary perspective and helps you improve business performance and practice, and function in complex and diverse business environments.
This degree differs from the traditional MBA by offering you more flexibility - you can design your own programme of study, choosing those courses that are most relevant to your business career.
You further your knowledge of key aspects of business and management, such as marketing, strategic management, human resource management, and organisational theory and behaviour. You develop your critical thinking, analytical and conceptual skills, and gain expertise in understanding, interpreting and conducting research.
Choose between a full thesis or a smaller research project, and deepen your understanding of how to find and utilise information from a range of sources; a useful skill for business planning and business improvement.
Class sizes of about 10 people and highly qualified staff provide an excellent learning environment. And to help you fit study around your other commitments, classes are a mixture of weekly, weekend, evening and distance learning formats.
NOTE: To gain the Master of Business, you need to complete the compulsory courses and either the Thesis or Research Project elective.
Partial degree study may be recognised with the award of a certificate or diploma. For this degree, this includes the Postgraduate Diploma in Business.
