Certificate in Intensive English (Elementary, Intermediate, Upper Intermediate, Advanced)

If you are an international student and want to improve your every-day English language skills, this programme can help you communicate more effectively and prepare you for tertiary study or your future career.

Learn to communicate effectively in English in a wide range of everyday situations, from daily conversations with friends to discussions with fellow students and teachers.

Improve your ability to express your opinion and ideas, and to confidently handle class discussions and assignments. Further your English language skills through individual, group and project work.

Level 4 - Elementary, Pre-Intermediate, Intermediate, 40 credits
Level 5 - Upper Intermediate, 40 credits; Advanced, 40 credits
Full-time for 10-week terms or part-time options available

Applicants must:

• Be at least 16 years of age when the programme begins; and
• Be speakers of a first language other than English; and 
• Hold a current international permit that is appropriate for study in New Zealand (basic literacy is advised).
