Diploma of Digital Media (Advanced)

This is a 35 week, full-time, Level 7 course formerly known as the Graduate Diploma of Digitial Media. It is designed to build on students' current education and experience, allowing them to innovate, experiment, pursue their own projects and create some amazing work. The course consists of four modules:

1. Studio – the main module of the course. It comprises three phases, each containing multiple briefs.

Foundation studies – learn design skills to enhance your research, conceptual and communication abilities.
Group projects – work in teams to solve three major briefs.
Industry projects – complete two projects for real clients .

2. Professional practice – This module prepares you for employment and includes the ‘ins and outs’ of freelancing.

3.Design history – explore major design movements, figures and icons of twentieth century design.

4. Art history – discover the major artists and their work, art movements and other topics of discussion in art.

Equipment
This course is a laptop based course. Students are issued with Apple Mac laptops for the duration of the course. Digital cameras, scanners, printers and industry standard software are also used.
