Master of International Studies (Environment)

The Master of International Studies (Environment) has an applied interdisciplinary focus. In the first year, students take mandatory environmental papers related to business, politics, science and culture, which provide the basic tools of interdisciplinary methodologies. A capstone paper in Environmental Management that is taken during term 3 (summer session) offers students the opportunity for critical analysis of issues via selected national and international case studies. In the second year students undertake traditional academic research through a thesis or research paper. Alternatively students may choose to undertake more applied client-based executive strategic projects or executive research projects.
