(Certificate in Health, Science and Technology is offered at UCOL as an alternative pre-entry programme for students who have little or no science background. Science background includes the subjects chemistry, science or biology.) This programme aims to produce a competent and efficient Industrial Laboratory Technician who can provide support to Research Scientists; run a productive work space or whole laboratory; understand quality assurance and product testing in the commercial field; or undertake useful research work of their own design; or progress to further study.
