The CBES/RYA (Coastguard Boating Education/Royal Yachting Association) PowerboatLevel 2 course provides the skills and background to be a competent powerboat driver. The course is conducted in the Matakana River and Kawau Bay area. Candidates will be taught boat handling skills, high speed manoeuvres and man overboard recovery. Theoretical knowledge of collision regulations, hull shapes, trim and tilt is also covered.
