The RYA (Royal Yachting Association) Coastal Skipper course is designed for those with a basic knowledge and understanding of sailing and navigation. The 6 week training package includes radar, milebuilder, navigation theory, STCW 95 training and the practical exam.
This Certificate of Competency allows the holder to skipper yachts up to 24m in length and to be Chief Mate on vessels of up to 500 tonnes within 60 miles of a safe haven overseas.
