This international Master of Veterinary Medicine Programme (MVM) is designed for practicing
veterinarians who want to improve their knowledge, skills and qualifications beyond their
veterinary degree. You can study anywhere in the world and get recognised assessment and
certification for each paper (course) you complete (in New Zealand we call a course a paper), or
progress towards a Masters Degree or a Postgraduate Diploma in Veterinary Clinical Science.

Entry requirements: Veterinary degrees that give you eligibility to Massey University’s AVMA-accredited veterinary school are from the following currently recognised veterinary schools:
New Zealand: Massey University.
Australia: Sydney, Melbourne, Murdoch and Queensland.
USA: Auburn; California; Colorado State; Cornell; Florida; Georgia; Illinois; Iowa State; Kansas State; Louisiana State; Michigan State; Minnesota; Mississippi State; Missouri; North Carolina State; Ohio State; Oklahoma State; Oregon State; Pennsylvania; Purdue; Tennessee; Texas A & M; Tufts; Tuskegee; Virginia-Maryland; Washington State; Wisconsin-Madison.
Canada: Montreal; Guelph; Prince Edward Island; Saskatchewan.
Europe: Utrecht.
United Kingdom: Glasgow; Edinburgh; Liverpool; Bristol; Cambridge and London.
Ireland: National University of Ireland. This is restricted to those who graduated up to and including 1988 or from 2004 onwards.
South Africa: Pretoria.
Enrolment is also available to veterinarians with degrees from other schools if they have successfully completed one of the following examinations:
New Zealand: New Zealand National Veterinary Examination (NZNVE)
Australia: National Veterinary Examination (NVE)
USA: Certificate of the Educational Commission for Foreign Veterinary Graduates (ECFVG)
Canada: Canadian National Examination Board Licensing Examination (NEB)
United Kingdom: Membership of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons by examination (MRCVS)
