Diploma in Herbal Medicine

Auckland is New Zealand’s largest city, with 1.3 million people.
The Diploma in Herbal Medicine is a three year full time course of study. You will learn the principles and applications of herbal medicines and medical sciences in order to treat people within a holistic framework.
This qualification is recognised by the NZ Association of Medical Herbalists and the NZ Natural Health Council
Upon completion of this diploma, students are eligible to receive the Bachelor of Health Science in Complementary Medicine from Charles Sturt University of New South Wales, Australia.
This Diploma may be studied concurrently with the Diploma in Naturopathy as most of the curriculum is the same for both diplomas.
Students who wish to enrol only in the Diploma in Herbal Medicine do not have to complete Naturopathy B.
There is no extra cost to study both Diplomas at the same time. The fees stated include electives for both Diplomas.
Students attend classes for approximately 16-18 hours a week and are expected to achieve a similar number of hours of self study.
