National Diploma in Computing (Level 7)
Auckland Wise Institute offers the National Diploma in Computing (Level 7) as one year course of full time study. The diploma provides a computing qualification to recognize the achievement of high level knowledge and skills, typically in a specialized area. It is ideally suited for people who are working in a particular area in the industry who want recognition for their skills
People with this qualification will have a high level of understanding of particular computer industry concepts and/or be able to work in particular roles within the industry.
Auckland Wise Institute offers several optional streams to achieve the Diploma with specialization in software development and hardware support.
Entry Requirements: Diploma level qualification in computing or equivalent. International students from non-English speaking countries must also have an IELTS minimum of 6.0 with no level lower than 5.0 and/or English language skills measured by AWI placement test for the Diploma in Computing. Note: If necessary, tuition for English as a second language is available at AWI for foreign students.
Visa Opportunities: The students of this course will have up to one year of the student visa with work permit of 20h weekly. After graduating the course the students will have the opportunity to request the student job search visa which allows to working full time.
