Queenstown is one of New Zealand’s most popular tourist destinations, with its lakes, mountains and nightlife.
This program is for people who want to improve their English communication skills to work or live or study in an English speaking country. Materials are from a range of topics with a New Zealand focus.
The course is function based. This means it uses practical language found in real situations in New Zealand or around the English speaking world. This approach is based on the European Union's framework of language learning the CEF.
There are currently 4 levels A2 Elementary, B1 Intermediate, B2 Upper Intermediate and IELTS preparation (for B2 and above). For more information about the levels, see the CEF. Course can be developed at other levels on a one-to-one or group basis.

- Work
- Health and safety
- New Zealand geography and history
- Banking and finance
- Communications and the Internet
- Being a consumer and shopping
- Social conversation skills and personal relationships
- Maori culture and language
- Sports and leisure
- The Media
The course takes a multi skill approach, meaning you will cover reading, writing, listening and speaking. Pronunciation is a core part of the course and is taught everyday.
There will be assessments to measure your progress at the end of each topic.
We also teach you many useful tips and strategies to make you a successful language learner.
Here is an example of a week's work.
Classes are from Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 12:00. The whole course runs for 10 weeks but you can join for any period between 1 and 10 weeks.
During the winter (June to October) we also run course in the evening Monday to Thursday 7:00pm to 9:00pm.
