The Culinary Institute of New Zealand specializes in professional chef and associated hospitality training. Located in the beautiful Bay of Islands, we are proud of our reputation as a ‘Centre of Excellence’, and our award-winning tutors are some of the best in the industry.
Our Professional Chef Training is a unique programme combining the following qualifications:
· National Certificate in Hospitality (Basic Cookery) (Level 3)
· National Certificate in Hospitality (Professional Cookery) (Level 4)
· City & Guilds Certificate in Food Preparation & Culinary Arts
· City & Guilds Diploma in Food Preparation & Culinary Arts
In addition to theory and kitchen training, participation in local catering events will give students practical experience in the workplace, and helps them to immerse into the New Zealand culture.
The Culinary Institute has strong links with Northlands Hospitality Industry and Chefs Association. Through these links we have been able to place students in work and keep in touch with current food trends.
