This course combines NZQA levels 3 and level 4 certificates to form a full year of study. It teaches the student to produce garments from their own design. The course also covers block patterns, block pattern development, toile making and builds in industry techniques and tips.
The course is designed for those who can sew a complete garment but wish to move on to start a career in the design field. In 2010 this class had category winners in 'Villa Maria Cult Colture' and 'Westfield Style Paisifika' competitions. We actively encourage the student to bring out their creativity and place student in industry work expeerience when possible.
