Master of Design

This one year, taught masters programme is aimed at developing design leadership and strategic thinking to successfully design more effective and desirable products and services. Graduates will be exposed to a range of research methods and practices to improve and extend their understanding and creativity to drive human centred design in product, service and brand innovations in ever changing design environments.

This is an interdisciplinary programme aimed at advancing professional careers, extending and fostering students’ abilities to function in a broader role as strategic creative thinkers in the creative industries. Advanced practical, analytical and theoretical knowledge and skills that focus on professional development within a wider cultural, creative and commercial/business framework are integral elements of the programme. Spanning a range of core and elective subjects, the MDes allows students to focus on applied research and design practices within a chosen area of their own expertise.
