If your appetite for art and design has been stimulated by the work you’ve done at undergraduate level, it’s time to consider taking things further. The Bachelor of Art and Design (Honours) offers a one year intensive programme of specialisation in your chosen field. It involves a year of research in specialist areas of design or visual arts or in areas that integrate or converge.
This degree provides students with knowledge of research methodologies appropriate to their discipline, which will contextualise and underpin a single large studio project. Specialist areas in the School focus on:
- Graphic Design (including design moving image illustration and photography)
- Visual Arts (including painting, sculpture, photography and printmaking)
- Spatial Design (including interior design, theatre and television design, events, furniture and exhibition design and lighting and technology)
- Fashion (including fashion design, apparel, costume and knitwear)
- Digital Design (including animation, visual effects and art direction).
