This course provides the On-Screen acting skills that enhance a person’s potential talents and skills so they can confidently audition for demanding dramatic roles. This course will provide the skills that enhance a student’s potential talents in order to gain employment in today’s demanding industry. Acting both in New Zealand and Overseas has seen a major shift with the predominant area of employment now in screen acting rather than theatre. This South Seas Film & TV School one-year full time Diploma course is the only course in New Zealand completely focusing on On-Screen Acting for Television, and provides total focus and immersion training in the unique skills and techniques required. No two actors are the same, and with a maximum intake of 24 students the course guarantees each student individual attention on their personal needs. Our tutors – two full-time and four part-time, plus industry-based guest tutors for specialist areas, have the opportunity to focus on each actor encouraging them to enhance their strengths and helping them work through their weaknesses with constructive criticism.
