The MEnvStud is designed to encourage you to develop a postgraduate degree programme which complements the strengths of your undergraduate training or work experience. The core papers ensure that you have a grounding in the basics, while papers, work placements and thesis research provide more relevant expertise in the particular area of resource management that interests you in your chosen career path.
It combines:
- a range of tailored papers dealing with the framework and practice of resource management in New Zealand,
- conservation and environmental management, environmental law, economics and public policy, and Maori resource management;
- the opportunity to choose honours or masters level papers from a variety of disciplines to complement or build on undergraduate work:
- thesis research of an academic and applied nature; and
- the opportunity to apply study to the work environment in up to two work placements.
