The Graduate Diploma in Science (GDipSc) is a highly flexible programme for graduates, or those with appropriate work or other experience, who need a refresher course or a conversion programme to a new field. The Graduate Diploma, which can be taken over one year full-time is devised to suit your new career direction, your past academic experience and learning needs.
The GDipSc in a specialisation can lead directly to the research degree of MSc by thesis if a sufficiently high academic standard in appropriate courses is attained.
The GDipSc consists of at least 116 points from courses 200 to 579 from the BSc, BSc (Hons) and MSc schedules. Of these 116 points, at least 72 points must be at 300 level or above. With approval, a project worth 30 points may also be included.
