The Master of Theatre Arts in Directing is an applied Masters degree taught jointly by the Theatre Programme and Toi Whakaari: New Zealand Drama School, which is the country's foremost training school for theatre professionals. Through a two-year full-time programme combining practical and theoretical studies, students will develop the necessary skills to direct and initiate projects in the professional theatre and related areas.
