The Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Psychology is designed to prepare graduates of Psychology for professional practice in the application of sub-disciplines of Psychology. The intention is to operate a flexible degree structure that draws upon the strengths and interests of current academic staff, but provides students with a coherent and focussed course of study involving a significant practical component. Successful graduates of this diploma fulfil the requirements for applying to the New Zealand Psychologists Board (NZPB) to be Registered Psychologists (Psychologists Act, 1981). However, registration is not guaranteed and will be at the discretion of NZPB.
