This programme is designed to provide students with an understanding of the principles of criminal law, evidence and procedure, expert evidence and the presentation of expert evidence in court. Incorporated in the curriculum are: Probability, statistics and the interpretation of scientific evidence, forensic psychiatry and forensic psychology, and techniques and applications for forensic science.
The postgraduate diploma is a one year full-time programme which may include a research dissertation. Students who successfully complete the course may gain entry to a Matsers programme. It requires candidates to have high-level graduate backgrounds in science, medicine, technology or related topics.
