The Master of Engineering Degree is a postgraduate Degree available in the following disciplines

1. BioEngineering
2. Chemical and Materials Engineering
3. Civil Engineering
4. Computer Systems Engineering
5. Electrical and Electronic Engineering
6. Engineering Science
7. Environmental Engineering
8. Mechanical Engineering
9. Software Engineering

This is a Master's qualification for students who wish to undertake research that is presented in the form of a Thesis. Students must have completed either a Bachelor of Engineering attaining at least Second Class Honours First Division or have passed 60 points in courses above Part III of which at least 30 points must be above Part IV and have an average grade of B or higher, in either the Degree of Master of Engineering Studies, Graduate Diploma in Engineering or the Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Transportation).

Students are expected to negotiate a research topic with their supervisors and undertake relevant background reading before being admitted to the degree.
