The Master of Engineering Studies is a taught Master's degree available in the following disciplines:
1. BioEngineering
2. Chemical and Materials Engineering
3. Civil and Environmental Engineering
4. Computer Systems Engineering
5. Electrical and Computer Engineering
6. Engineering Science
7. Mechanical Engineering
8. Software Engineering
Students who wish to undertake a programme of advanced study in Engineering. To be admitted, students must have either completed a Bachelor of Engineering attaining at least Second Class Honours Second Division or have passed 60 points of courses above Stage III, of which at least 15 points must be above Part IV, in the Graduate Diploma in Engineering in one semester with a Grade Point Average (gpa ) greater than 5.0.
For admission to one of the Specialisations (Construction Management, Geotechnical Engineering, Light Metals Reduction Technology, Transportation Engineering) students should have completed the requirements for an approved Bachelor's degree at a level deemed satisfactory by the Dean of Faculty of Engineering and have at least three years' relevant work experience.
For entry to the Geotechnical Engineering specialisation a student must have passed CIVIL 324 or its equivalent.
