The Bachelor of Property is a three-year degree widely recognised both in New Zealand and internationally. The BProp is recognised by the New Zealand Property Institute, the Valuers� Registration Board, the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand, the Property and Land Economy Institute of New Zealand, the Malaysian Board of Valuers, Appraisers and Estate Agents and the Singapore Institute of Surveyors and Valuers.
It is a specialised degree enabling students to develop essential skills for entering managerial roles in the property industry. The programme encompasses the areas of valuation, investment, development, management and marketing. A thorough understanding and the creative application of these critical aspects of property management is what lies behind successful property development. The programme adopts an interdisciplinary approach encouraging students to develop their analytical skills with the use of computers and to contribute development ideas through practical case studies. Considerable importance is placed on the need for students to be professional and to develop creative solutions.
The Bachelor of Property programme prepares students for a wide range of careers in property. These include valuation, property management, property finance and investment, property management, property development and property market research.
