The programme is offered in collaboration with the Faculty of Science with the central goal of to produce psychologists who have a combination of academic knowledge and professional expertise in the field of health to enable them to work effectively as scientist-practitioners. A related goal is to provide graduates of academic programmes in health psychology a route to formal registration with the Psychologists' Board.
The programme consists of a four-point course in professional practice and a supervised practicum in applied settings worth ten points.
