Feras Bashawri

Feras was contemplating studying in the United States when a friend of his suggested he study at the University of Canterbury. Finding it to his liking, Feras has also recommended the University to�numerous friends.�This year Feras' younger brother started studying English language at Canterbury too.

Once he has completed his English language study, Feras will move on to the Business stream of Foundation Studies and then a Bachelor of�Commerce in Marketing. His�English has improved dramatically since he began the EAP2 course. "I'm finding the course�challenging but I enjoy it. Every day I learn something new�so�I do not want to miss any classes or even be late for them. Every day my English gets better and better".�Feras credits his reading and writing teacher for his improvement. "He makes the classes interesting and fun plus he can answer any questions I have".

In addition to learning a new language, Feras is also taking on new challenges outside the classroom. He is currently sharing a flat with his brother and is adjusting to a new level of responsibility.�"I have had to learn to pay bills, buy groceries and look after a house while adapting to a new culture. It was difficult at first but I have adjusted to my new life".
