Kaori Inada

Having started her New Zealand education at secondary level, it was an easy decision for Kaori Inada to extend her stay for tertiary studies. Having spent two years in the South Island, Kaori decided to try out the North Island and enrolled for the Diploma of Travel and Tourism at the Eastern Institute of Technology (EIT) in Napier. “I chose to come to EIT after I graduated from my high school because of the beautiful weather. I also thought EIT would be a good place to study both English and Tourism.”

Well into her course, Kaori is enjoying the practical environment that is a feature of education at a New Zealand ITP (Institute of Technology and Polytechnic). “Every tutor here is nice and kind to students when we have any problems. They helped me a lot when I was having problems with my English and studies.

Kaori has found that the warmth of the people around her extends well past her classroom into not only her living environment but also the broader community. “The student hostel where I am living now is very convenient and a good place to live. People here are very nice and friendly. We have many good times!

I feel comfortable at the EIT and am happy to stay in Napier. I’ve found that I always enjoy my student life here. I am having the greatest time here!”
