Software and Information Technology sits between computer science on the one hand and information systems on the other.
Knowledge of hardware and software is only part of the equation. Software and Information Technology knowledge and skills are only relevant when applied to business and social issues, problems and opportunities.
This diploma will equip graduates with a variety of transferable IT skills which they can apply to real world problems.
It provides courses in programming, technical computing, end user computing, simulation and information systems which focus on understanding and evaluating existing techniques and theories before applying them.
It is a one-year course.
