New Zealand is famous for its natural environment but New Zealanders are among the most urbanised people in the world. Each region has its own natural features, landscape and unique ‘flavour’ and our cities and towns all have something different to offer.
Major cities are Auckland (New Zealand’s biggest city), Hamilton (Waikato region), Palmerston North (Manawatu region), Wellington (the capital), Christchurch (Canterbury region) and Dunedin (Otago region).
